Description: This is a rare ribbon back armchair influenced by Chippendale style chairs of the period. Possibly made by John Letchworth, Philadelphia, PA. Carved, turned mahogany, poplar, maple, and hickory wood. This chair retains its paint history (unusual for chairs of this style) which is white over white over original green.
