Description: “To Herbert from Caroline 1944-47” a pictorial diary. This history of a marriage, done by a loving wife for her husband, depicts the places they lived, their travels and hobbies. The wool Sherpa carpet that surrounds the needle point and acts as a frame is original. It took three years to execute this rug of the prominent Fish family, New York City and their crest may be seen in the lower right hand corner.
